How we work

A clear path from first conversation to production support, with ownership and quality built in.

We keep delivery visible: shared boards, weekly demos, and one point of contact. Below is what each stage looks like, how we communicate, and how engagements are priced.

Our process

  1. Discover

    What happens

    • Kickoff call to clarify goals, users, constraints, and success metrics
    • Review existing materials, codebase, or competitor references if you have them
    • Identify risks, integrations, and must-have vs nice-to-have scope

    What you get

    • Shared understanding of the problem and outcomes
    • Recommended approach and rough timeline
    • Written next-step proposal (scope, estimate path, or both)
  2. Design

    What happens

    • Map product flows, information architecture, and key screens
    • Define technical architecture and delivery milestones
    • Align on acceptance criteria for the first build increment

    What you get

    • Clickable flows or wireframes as needed
    • Architecture notes and milestone plan
    • A backlog you can track on a shared board
  3. Build

    What happens

    • Ship in short increments with pull-request reviews
    • Add automated checks where they protect critical paths
    • Demo working software every week (or on an agreed cadence)

    What you get

    • Running software in a staging environment
    • Regular demos and written progress updates
    • Transparent backlog with priorities you can change
  4. Launch

    What happens

    • Harden auth, monitoring, backups, and deployment
    • Run launch checklist and smoke tests
    • Coordinate go-live and rollback plan

    What you get

    • Production deployment with access notes
    • Launch checklist and known risks documented
    • Handoff package or support window kickoff
  5. Support

    What happens

    • Fix production issues and regressions
    • Performance and reliability improvements
    • Plan and ship the next feature slice

    What you get

    • Defined response expectations
    • Optional retainer or hourly support (from $50 / hour)
    • Clear ownership of code and infrastructure

Communication

No black boxes. You always know what shipped and what is next.

Weekly demos

Live walkthroughs of working software so feedback arrives while changes are still cheap.

Shared project board

One backlog for priorities, status, and blockers. You can see progress without chasing updates.

One point of contact

A single owner on our side for decisions, timelines, and day-to-day questions.

Code quality

Production habits from day one, not a cleanup sprint at the end.

Code reviews

Pull requests are reviewed before merge. Readable code and clear intent matter as much as features.

Automated tests

We cover critical paths with automated checks so regressions are caught early.

CI/CD

Builds and checks run in continuous integration. Deployments are repeatable, not manual folklore.

Documentation

Setup, architecture, and operational notes ship with the product so your team can take over.

Ownership and security

You own the work product. We treat credentials and data carefully.

Client owns the code and IP

Source code and project IP transfer to you under the written agreement. We do not lock you into our tooling.

NDA on request

We can sign a mutual NDA before you share sensitive product or business details.

Secure handling of credentials and data

Least-privilege access, no shared password docs in chat, and careful handling of customer data throughout the engagement.

Engagement models

Pick the shape that matches your stage. Hourly rates start at $50 / hour; project fees are quoted after discovery.

Fixed-scope project

Best when requirements are clear. We agree deliverables, timeline, and a fixed fee with change-control for new scope.

From $50 / hour (quoted as a fixed project fee)

Dedicated developer or team

Best when priorities shift week to week. You get capacity on a monthly basis with a shared backlog.

From $50 / hour

Ongoing support

Best after launch. Retainer or hourly support for fixes, improvements, and small features.

From $50 / hour
